Many people still watch this anime to figure out how to play. The beginnings of the game were extremely lenient in terms of gameplay and much different than the game we’re used to now. The Foundation: Duelist KingdomĮven though Yu-Gi-Oh was first aired in 1999, the card game we all know didn’t come around until 2000. The objective of the game is to get the opposing player’s life points down to zero by using your cards to attack. Each standard deck must have somewhere between 40-60 cards, and each player starts off with 8,000 life points. There are many different monster level cards ranging from levels 0-12. What Is Dueling?Ī duel is a match between two or more players that use monsters, traps, and spell cards in their decks. The difference between Attack or Defense does not matter and the card with the inferior alignment is instantly destroyed. In the game, players may notice a few different types of battle between monster cards. You may also set one Trap Card on the field.You may only summon one monsters per turn.Unlike the real OCG/ TCG no Tribute are offered to Level 5 or more monsters, all monsters in the game have no Level at all.Each duelist starts with 8000 Life Points ( Life Points).Once the field is empty, you may attack the opposing duelist's Life Points.Each monster card may attack any opposition monster card on the field.You may have up to five cards in your hand (If you have five cards in hand at the start of your turn, you will not be able to draw a new card).You may have up to five monsters in the field.If the Deck is over/under 40 cards or over the Deck limit cost, the player will not be able to duel until the error is fixed. In order to duel, a player's Deck must contain exactly 40 cards and be under their current Duelist Level. No monsters in the game have effects and some of the Magic and Trap Cards have different effects. This game does not totally conform to the rules of the Offical Card Game. Here are the list of characters that a player may duel against: Once the player beats a character 5 times, he or she may keeping on dueling them for more points. Players must beat each duelist in a stage 5 times, in order to get to the next stage.
